You might not know his name but you definitely recognize his face. 19-year-old Desperate Housewives Star Shawn Pyfrom has a maturity that is seldom seen in actors his age. Standing at 5’7, he exudes an extremely likeable personality and doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s good at what he does and he knows it. This Florida-native has been acting since the age of 7 and is dedicated to perfecting his craft.
His character on the show is quite controversial, playing Bree’s (Marcia Cross’s) gay son Andrew Van De Kamp. Recently, his homosexual kiss was seen by millions. Though his character is gay on the show, Shawn is definitely straight--having a flavor for blond Latina's, he has found love with his long term girlfriend, which he gushingly stated with pride and shyness.
This up and coming star appears to have his head on straight, with a down to earth personality and a very sincere approach to his craft. When not working, Shawn enjoys: rollerblading, basketball, golf, listening to music (rap and rock), volunteering his time and watching movies.
Shawn loves fashion and favors D & G mixed with vintage stylized T-shirts with jeans. His favorite items in his closet are: his Bomber Jacket by Dolce and Gabbana, a vintage belt (from ‘Lo-Fi,” a store in LA), his Jimmy Hendrix vintage T-shirt, vintage police shirt (also from Lo-Fi) and his Antik Denim Jeans.
Acknowledging the change in celebrity recognition since appearing on Desperate Housewives has not changed his way of life in the least. Shawn stays focused on strengthening his acting by stretching his acting abilities by playing roles such as Danny Bonaduce for ABC which required studying mannerisms and stating that was his most challenging role thus far, yet would love to play a Brad Pitt like character from Fight Club.
Shawn's calm and collected attitude towards life helps describe his grounded personality. His acting ability is filled with talent and drive. He is just beginning to make a mark in Hollywood but it is all the right steps and he is leaving memorable impressions everywhere he goes. Keep your eyes on this one, he is sure to go far.
