So how was the photoshoot today?
Omg! Sensational! So many vibrant, funky looks… bold, colorful accessories…and even a puppy! Dream come true.
When was your last shoot?
Most of my shoots consist of bubbly, forced, publicity photos for the Daily 10. Rarely am I given the opportunity to take such edgy, fashion forward photographs. Although I did shoot the cover for a hometown magazine, Indy Men’s Magazine, not too long ago. I’m just wearing an old tee, my hair is in braids, and I’m holding a cheesy piece of pepperoni pizza. Yummy!
How do you manage to balance a family life with your career?
It ain’t easy. I am able only with the help of a wonderful and forgiving support network. Our nanny is like another family member and a true angel. The fine folks at E! are also so understanding of my most important role of Mom. They are patient and flexible with me…far beyond reason.
Tell us about your kids:
Ahh! My loves. Austin is almost 7. All who know us insist we’re twins. He’s been making videos since he was five. He calls himself the next George Lucas. Yes, he’s obsessed with all things Star Wars. He’s imaginative, sensitive, and inquisitive. He’s constantly asking me questions that keep me on my toes. “If Santa got me the XBOX, then we have to call Santa to get the right batteries for the remote, right Mom? It’s not like you can buy them at Walgreens!”
Arion (like Orion the constellation, but with an A) is my party boy. His smile is electric and contagious. He was born with the gift of music. He just turned three and already has a drumset, two guitars, two keyboards, and number of microphones. And he plays them all. He likes the All American Rejects and Kanye West, but put in Josh Groban and he freaks. Go figure.
