belle epoch
The Art Institute Showcases the hottest student designers.
Where would we be if we forgot the very important among us, our student designers? Recognizing the importance of supporting the fashion leaders of tomorrow, The Art Institute of California - San Francisco finished 2004 with its fashion event Belle Epoch.
Belle Epoch was held at the dramatic Grand ball room, located in one of San Francisco's Landmark event venue, the San Francisco Regency Center. It featured fifteen student designers from the school's fashion design program. Raw, unique, innovative and creative talents were on display as models strutted the runway with some intriguing and diverse creations of these student designers. Emerging designers such as SANYA SF and Saffron Rare Threads served as judges for the occasion. Also in attendance were over 800 guests including, Fashion VIPs, family and friends who showed their support with loud applauses and cheers.
Participating students received several awards. The judges' favorites seemed to be Kristyn Jordan, who received an award for "Best Day Wear", and Chia-Yin-Wu who received awards for "Best Construction" and "Best formal Wear." To learn about the Art Institute's Program, visit www.aicasf.aii.edu.
